SAP ABAP FI/CO Developer/Designer m/f (UK)
Our Client a large international Consultancy is looking for a SAP ABAP FI/CO Developer/Designer:
Job Role Perform full range of support and development activities at Pan-European level of the relevant application.
Job Responsibilities
Perform analysis of business requirements and translate them into proper system solutions Make accurate delivery plan and cost estimates based on business requirements (ADRs) Monitor and resolve incoming Production Remedy SAP support calls Consider system performance and possibilities for harmonisation/standardisation when designing solutions to business requirements, identifying production issues Adhere to SOX guidelines by following the established design (ADR log) and test (Mercury) procedures Maintain quality design specifications Careful recording and categorisation of work tasks (ACTs) Perform thorough testing at various stages of the development with formal test logs/evidence Record time against correct activity types and on time
Competencies / Skills / Attributes
Communication Identifies and keeps informed all parties interested in the development taking place. Explains technical information to non-specialists without using jargon. Documents decisions clearly. Keeps communication channels open within geographically dispersed team members.

Experience & Specific Job Requirements
Minimum of 8 years of SAP FI/CO - application experience within the module including configuration, design, testing, compliance & implementation (full Project lifecycle experience on at least 2 Full Project LifeCycles)
SAP FI/CO with a comprehensive understanding of the core modules of FI and CO (CCA, PCA, IOA, COPA), who is prepared to work with the Finance team in Support as well as Projects and development requests for the Business
Must demonstrate excellent knowledge in the area of SAP Plants Abroad
Demonstrates Excellent Integration knowledge with MM and SD
Experience in as many of the following areas as possible is desirable:
- Latest versions of SAP R/3 releases
- Rolling out template solutions
- SAP HR / Payroll
- Experience of SAP R/3 upgrades and implementation
Update documentation repository and call handling system to reflect changes made during call resolution
Work closely with the customer to identify possible improvements to existing design and suggest appropriate solutions
Provide knowledge, expertise and guidance to the customer in order that potential for new work is seized upon
Provide expert input into the design and implementation of new additions or improvements to existing solution
Liaise with customer and provide accurate estimate of work involved when required
Identify and make the customer aware of any changes which may impact overseas sites and resolve appropriately
Create detailed functional and technical designs that meet user requirements to facilitate onshore/offshore ABAP work
Liaise with offshore technical resources to ensure accurate and timely delivery
Provide guidance to Business users to ensure that thorough testing is carried in resolving all call types
Escalate and report progress of major incidents/issues to Applications Support team lead
Ensure that existing processes and procedures are adhered to at all times
Keep users informed of progress on call resolution
Communicate with the Businesses Users in an appropriate and constructive manner at all times
Continually look at ways to improve service to customer
Ability to present at a Senior Level
Strong knowledge of all relevant processes and procedures

Practical business experience including international experience in FI/CO application
Excellent communication skills – ability to interpret business issues to provide support solution
Ability to prioritise and escalate issues
Analytical mindset with an strong eagerness to learn
Team player, prepare to work with off shore management in a virtual team
Prepared to travel extensively within Europe
